This website contains a collection of topics which may have more appeal to those new to the hobby or just curious to learn a little of what's involved.
Like many who joined the hobby I started out as a short wave listener (SWL) as a school boy.
My interest developed after I was very lucky to have been gifted a short wave communications receiver by my late uncle Don - G4MTR,
After a period of study for the City & Guilds Radio Amateur Examination (RAE) I gained my first licence as G7DIS in 1989 and following some practice passed my morse test to get my full licence as GOMTQ.
